What a great concept! I grew up in Rochester and we always took the bus downtown for fun so I am soooo happy to see people revitalizing it! The food court concept is as fun. We ate at CUT and highly recommended it. The food was delicious and the portions just right. Highly recommended.

Go to Rufus for a fantastic cocktail, and Cut for the the mixed green salad I added shrimp and I was not disappointed. I would highly recommend checking out the space, love the atmosphere and options for a bite to eat. Need to go back to check out a few more items.

The mercantile itself is very nice, reminiscent of a mall or airport food court. The food is of excellent quality and variety. However, be careful when entering or exiting the building. My fiancé and I had several people come up to us and beg for money.Bottom line: nice, upscale food court, but unfortunately in a bad part of town, so use caution.
