A member of my family has worked in a jewelry store, in downtown Florence, since 1911. My grandparents, Pete and Julia Mefford, opened our first store on Seminary street in 1945. The business moved to 111 East Tennessee street and in 1980 my father, O. T. Mefford, moved us into our current location at 102 North Court Street. I needed a special gift for my friends funeral and i took a bible to get engraved here, i wanted text and a picture on it, they weren’t sure how it’d turn out as it was the first one they’d done with a picture, it turned out AMAZING! Not only that, i needed it by the next day and they had it done in two hours! Great customer service, very friendly folks! I can’t remember the woman’s name who engraved it but special S/O to her! If i need anything done again I won’t hesitate to go to Mefford’s and neither should anyone else! Thanks again!
