Take the time to go somewhere else and always get prices in writing.

It was ready by the next day and at a very reasonable price!

Make sure you get every price in writing and ask about “hidden costs” that will only appear when you go to pick it up.I got some work done here, was told a price, it was written on my drop off sheet, when I came to pick it up, that’s exactly what was done, and exactly what I was charged. Perfect. So I thought I could go back for some more work on two different things (the first job was on the same part I took there in the first place, I took it back because I noticed something else was wrong with it (which if I was called about and told of I would have likely had fixed in the first place, saving us both time and money). The other job I said “well if it is ruined, let me know and I’ll just find a new part because it’s cheaper to buy a new one”. Cool right? Well I left the parts there and only got a drop off list and not a price written down on the receipt (mistake #1). When I got a call that the second item was ruined (from the car not them), and was quoted a price well over $70 more than what other places I called quoted, and more than a new part. I said “nah don’t do the work then” and thought nothing of it. Well… fast forward almost 2 weeks later than the day I was told they would be ready to pick up, I sent my SO (mistake #2, because how would she know we talked about a price) to pick both items (one part was worked on and the other just sat there) the price was literally almost double the range we had discussed for the one job!So I guess, if you decline overpriced work, you’ll have some of that cost appear elsewhere on your bill. Sketchy way to run a business. Take the time to go somewhere else and always get prices in writing.

I took my flywheel here for resurfacing. It was ready by the next day and at a very reasonable price! The tech was very nice and was happy to explain the exact work he did to it. I will definitely return if I need more machining work in the future!

My 1991 Corolla had a blown head gasket so I removed the cylinder head from the car and brought it in to get it properly inspected. This was the first time I took on a project like this on a car, so I asked the manager for advice on how to proceed. He clearly knows what he’s doing; he immediately knew which engine my car has, made sure I had a special ‘service bolt’ installed on the exhaust camshaft, and pointed right where the gasket was blown. For a very fair price of $240, I decided to get the entire cylinder head virtually remanufactured and the work was done in less than a week. He also discovered that somebody in the past attempted to resurface the gasket surface by hand, judging from the various high and low spots. Looks like we found the culprit!I put the engine back together and it runs beautifully now – probably as good as it ever ran. It’s been well over a hundred miles and the engine shows no signs of breaking down any time soon. Should I ever need any other parts serviced, I’d definitely come back here.
