First I want to say how much I love shopping at the store located at the Victoria Mall. I have always gotten most of the clothes I wear and even some for my daughter there. I am a single mom and income tax time is a time when I can get new clothes for my daughter for school. My complaint is when I got to check out the lady behind the counter asked if I wanted to save 10% off of my purchase by applying for a Maurice’s Store Card. ($277.00 was my purchase) I thought yes that would be over a $20 savings. So we proceeded to put in the necessary information. When that was done I noticed the total only went down $5. I asked the lady wasn’t it 10%? She said oh I gave you a $5 discount. I said, but I thought it was going to be 10%. She said Only if you were approved for the Maurice’s Card. WOW. I told her, You did not say that. And she said, Oh I didn’t? I’m sorry. I walked away from that store feeling like I was deceived. My heart really was sad. I love this store. And this lady purposely and knowly deceived me so I would apply for the Maurice’s store card. Shame on you. That is so wrong. And you know who you are. I am very reliable customer. And I spend my hard earned money in that store. But I don’t even know if I want to ever shop there again. Obviously this has really bothered me.
