This place has some of the least knowledgeable doctors on hand. Went into urgent care with severe back pain after I blew my back lifting weights. So bad I had to be wheelchaired in. Saw a “doctor” who literally touched my back and said it’s just strained. Gave me pain medication and a shot for pain and sent me home. In the long run, after Physical therapy and FINALLY getting an MRI from the VA, found out I have a bulged disc and mild arthritis. I’ve been living with this pain for months now and sadly probably worsened because the staff they have, to me, are not medical professionals and will do the least amount to help the VA financially. All other medical professionals I spoke to, either I personally know or outside of the VA, asked why they did not do an MRI earlier. I informed them that the staff I spoke with at my appointments, said it’s not needed at that time, because I’m not in agonizing pain. I see why everyone, veterans and civilians, lack respect for the VA medical system.

As a 100% Service Connected Disabled Veteran VA has been very good. After I received the T.&P. rating my wife of 40 year’s became eligible for ChampVA. She’s a two time cancer survivor with thyroid issues. Our prayers are answed. NOT !!!!She is not well right now ! Went to my VA clinic (Mtz) for her enrollment and Urgent Care. After 2 Hours ! VA does not take VA !!??!!Same logos, forms etc….. ChampVA tells you if use VA? No co-pays! (They refused to see my wife ! Dispite the fact she is very sick !) Then dawned on me* Friday before 3 day weekend……Now can’t find anyone who takes ChampVA…. Now what ?? Take her to Travis AFB ? Nope.HawkeyeBenicia
