If you love shopping for your kids and love getting criticized for letting your child express themselves, then this is the place for you!In all seriousness, everyone has their beliefs and everyone has been raised differently. However, people need to know how to bite their tongue and let people be the way they wish to be. If this little girl wants to wear a damn suit, you let the girl wear the suit. The mother was only letting her baby girl be herself and there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. That was not child abuse, that was good parenting. A child appreciates a parent accepting them for who they are. If they get forced to do things people think are gender appropriate….resentment is not far behind. I applaud the mother and disapprove of a place that doesn’t know its place.Realize this, You were not only judging the mother, but the 5 year old daughter who wanted to wear the suit. Unacceptable.

There is a litany of terms that close minded individuals like to use to label children, like this little girl. Whether it’s Gender-variant, gender-queer, transgender, cross-dresser, bisexual, gay — it isn’t anyone’s place, especially an employee of a boutique or shop to scrutinize the parents choice to embrace the uniqueness of HER child. I commend the mother for not giving a PENNY to this place, and when my three year old son wears his rainbow colored, hello kitty fedora, I allow him to wear it with pride!
