Market Hall Foods Berkeley

  4.5 – 189 reviews  $$$ • Gourmet grocery store

We opened our Berkeley location of Market Hall Foods (formerly The Pasta Shop) in 1996 with the goal of providing the same stellar products and service as at our Oakland flagship. Our Berkeley store includes our renowned cheese counter, deli and grocery—featuring a stellar lineup of extra virgin olive oils, best-quality pastas, vinegars, teas, baking items, culinary gifts and a world-class assortment of chocolates and confections. This location also features the only full-service bakery in the 4th Street neighborhood, offering everything from breakfast pastries, cakes, pies, sweet pastries and cookies to housemade breads and hot, delicious pizzas fresh from our pizza oven.

Long-running branch of a high-end grocery offering handmade pastas, meats, cheeses & prepared foods.

Best food in town – why they have to close so earlier – working people can’t get there. They should return to 10-6PM

This place is lovely. There are quite a few choices for a snack or a quick bite. I love the outdoor garden (right outside of the imperial tea house), it is just so beautiful. I didn’t eat here but went for a walk.
