Wonderful! If you love Lucy, it’s a must stop. Allow 90 minutes or hang out and shop in their gift store.

The gift shop is amply stocked and has great prices!

What a treasure, and what a great experience – starting with the young woman running the ticket counter and gift shop. Knowledgeable, super friendly, informative. This is kind of 2 museums. The first is more about life with Lucy and Desi. The second (same building but next door) is more about the show and features the sets from the show – along with l lots of info, big pictures of productions, awards, etc. Lots of other interesting stuff like scripts with handwritten changes, set models, famous props/wardrobe. Really terrific.Third part of the experience is the comedy center a couple blocks away. Sadly, did not have time to visit that. Even more I Love Lucy there (like the polka dot dress).Gift shop has a cool promotion. Scan the code with your phone, and it sends you a scratch off discount. I got 15% off. Nice!If you’re anywhere near Jamestown in your travels this is truly worth a look, no matter what level of I Love Lucy fan you are

The Lucy Desi museum is devoted to the lives of Lucille Ball and husband Desi Arnaz. Born in Jamestown, Lucille Ball worked at an amusement park in Celeron before she began her acting career. One side of the museum explores the lives of both these legends while the other focuses on her famous TV series I love Lucy. Although there are set replicas of both the NY apartment and the Hollywood suite the museum has actual outfits and props from the show and from Lucy’s other roles. The museum also houses a miniature of the I love Lucy set along with a miniature of the Long long trailer interior which was made by Lucy and Desi during the time they filmed I love Lucy.Jamestown is small and there are various murals throughout the town. Lucy’s birth home is here (private residence) as well as her final resting place in a nearby cemetery. Two statues of the comic legend is in a nearby park. Make plans to see as much as you can if you are in the area. It is well worth the visit!

A nice small museum exhibiting memorabilia related to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The biographical section (Lucy’s and Desi’s lives before I Love Lucy) is a little thin, but the I Love Lucy gallery has some nice exhibits and reconstructions. It would be nice to see the entire soundstage eventually reconstructed.Thoroughly pleasant.
