I came to the hospital in need of antibiotics and the doctor sent me home with nothing saying whrn I was clearly sick and had infection s. He said that the only way to deal with accesses iif to wait and drain it. Thanks Dr ahn. Also I have been sick so my immune system is clearly in need of help. No test nothingJust a refusal to do anything.

Avoid Lompoc Valley Medical Center. Specifically, do not do any lab work there. They are super expensive. I have medical insurance, but I still had to pay $169 for a skin sample test, $165 for a urine test, and $300 for a feces sample test. Very basic lab tests. These tests were for my children. We will never use this lab again. Go elsewhere!

My mother was discharged with her bandage completely fallen off. She said it hadn’t been treated for the total 4 days she had been there. She was admitted into med surge after having a drainage entered into her side for prior ulcer issues. I called med surge and they told me to go to Walmart and buy some gauze and do it myself. I told them NO and that I would be there within 10 minutes and for a nurse to meet me to redo it. Two nurses come out and were absolutely rude. The nurse doesn’t even fix it and tells us that it isn’t a big deal and repeats that multiple times. Then states that they aren’t aloud to be doing this and instructs me on what to do myself. I tell them that they are not aloud to be discharging their patients like this and she rolls her eyes at me and rudely says that she will “pass it on”. Very disappointed and this isn’t the first time I’ve had an AWFUL experience there. This is just the first time I am reporting and reviewing. Please if you are in the Lompoc area are thinking about going to the Lompoc hospital then save yourself and go to Santa Ynez Cottage or SM Marion. It will benefit you in the long run.
