Run by good people but I no longer trust them with my cars. Would not recommend for anyone who is not knowledgeable about cars. My car went in to have a leaking water pump replaced. While this was being done, Local Heroes quoted replacing the air filter at $861. This is a $30 part that is replaced by opening a plastic flap and installing the new filter. It is done in seconds and they wanted to charge nearly $900 for it. The quote is shown in the attached picture. The total for having the water pump replaced along with some related components was $1700 with most of the cost being the water pump work.To make matters worse, the water pump they installed was leaking again within 3 months of their repair. I brought the car to my normal shop to get for an unrelated issue and they found that the pump was leaking again. My normal shop replaced the water pump and it’s related components for $1100.Local Heroes has also denied my request for a refund for their inadequate work and say I should not have used my normal shop to fix their mistakes. Will not be going to Local Heroes again and will not be recommending them to anyone.
