We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.
Classic light fare & organic breads fill out the menu at this rustic-chic bakery/cafe chain.

I’m having lunch in Claremont before I go to the California Botanical Garden. Brenda, their barista, has made the best froth I’ve ever experienced my life!!! Apparently skim milk works better than whole milk. Forget almond and oat milk, as much as I love oat milk. They don’t froth very well. Also ordered the goat cheese, tomatoes, Kamala olive , arugula, and salmon (add it as an extra) on seedy bread. Delicious And filling. I suggest a lemon wedge spritzed over it. They have an outside terrace and seating is supposed to open up this weekend, with the new Covid orders. Also there is an area right out front with cement block seating/table with large umbrellas! Right next to the theater box office. I ordered online and picked up. Masks are required.Three months later we still love it! There Belgium mocha coffee drink is delicious and their chocolate mousse cakes are light and flavorful.

I really wanted to like the place but $14.00 for a rather small chicken cobb salad. Very little chicken and a ton of lettuce. It was not even good. I rather go to Chick-fil-A get their Cobb salad with way more chicken and half the price.
