I have rediscovered theis sub shop after many years, as I have been traveling through Lansing quite a bit as of late! After talking with the owner she explained to me that they survived the covid pandemic that closed so many O & O’s or Mom &Pop’s, as they are sometimes called, by continuing their takeout business!They have a huge extensive menu that I am looking forward to exploring and eating my way through over the course of thIs summer. It is far much larger than the deli at chain gas station, located just down the road, which will remain nameless. I highly recommend supporting small businesses, during these trying times over large chains that have the financial backing of large corporations behind them.I tried most recently at my last visit the Greek salad! Don’t expect to get Greek dressing on your Greek salad though. It’s not available. But you have a choice of many others and I decided on the Italian dressing which is really close to Greek dressing anyway. The owner certainly makes up in feta cheese any disappointment you may have and not being able to have the Greek dressing! Of course feta cheese is the highlight of the Greek salad and if you had a feta cheese fetish you would definitely be satisfied here!I ask that you support or patronize small businesses like these. If we don’t during these trying times they will cease to exist, and our choices will be limited only to what big corporate America wants to serve up! I don’t relish that thought!
