Landmark Equipment traces its beginnings to 1941 when the Ben Griffin Tractor Company was founded in Dallas, Texas. In 1989 Michael Lyle began running the company and changed its name to Dallas Ford New Holland, Inc. He expanded to the north with a second location in McKinney, Texas in 1997, and four years later, the company had a new name —-Landmark Equipment. The third branch debuted in the west in Fort Worth, Texas in 2002, and the fourth was added to cover the area to the South of Dallas, in Waxahachie, Texas. A fifth location was added in Cleburne in 2018. Corporate offices are located in Irving, Texas.
