Ketchikan’s local arts agency is home to the Main Street Gallery – Ketchikan’s only fine art gallery dedicated to featuring local, Alaskan artists in full gallery exhibits. Open daily year round visitors can view and purchase beautiful artwork created by local artists. The Ketchikan Arts Council also produces two annual community-wide arts festivals. The Blueberry Arts Festival the first weekend of August and the Winter Arts Faire the weekend after Thanksgiving both feature local artists exhibiting their work. In 1987 the Ketchikan Arts Council started the Wearable Art Show which has become popular all over the State. Wearable Art Ketchikan performances are always the first weekend of February.
