I went in there to ask for advice on where to start with knitting and I was literally just shown where knitting stuff was and books. I understand that not everybody that works there knows everything about every craft or hobby however, if you don’t know something you need to find somebody else who is knowledgeable that can help the customer. I could have easily just purchased a book online and never had to even walk in there if that was the case.

Joann’s is a place to go for a specific fabric. But they are in my opinion high priced. I prefer going to thrift stores or church sales for sewing and craft items myself. I can buy boxes of fabric at church or estate sales for far less. As far as most crafting items,places like ollie’s or the dollar store have a pretty good selection. Joann’s is the kind of store I go to if I need something specific I can’t find anywhere else or need advice on how to do something craft or sewing wise. Other than that, I shop second hand and follow a youtube video.
