Non existent customer service.On November 18, 2013, Finish Line ran a promotion on Google Offers offering 2 University hoodies for $35.00 with free shipping. I attempted to take advantage of the offer the day it was first offered. The website was not working properly at check out using Paypal. So I telephoned the number listed on Google Offers page for this business. The young woman who answered the phone:A) Spoke unaccented English but had really poor grammar.B) Told me that there was nothing we can do here because a different company runs the website for FinishLine.C) Told me that it was TYPICAL for the website to not work properly when there were promotions.D) Told me to telephone the customer service number on the website.When I explained to her that I had already telephoned the customer service number on the website but that when the representative came on their microphone was so low I could not understand a word they were saying she told me there was nothing she could do as she could not take telephone orders at her location.I called the website number back and was able to get through to someone who was properly microphoned. He told me that the website had been having issues with customers who were attempted to pay via Paypal and that those issues had been going on since LAST THURSDAY.It was poor customer service on the part of this company to:A) Continue to offer this Google Offer on Monday when the problems with the website, which began on Thursday, were not resolved.B) Not place any caveat on the Google Offer promotion telling potential customers that the offer was restricted to non-Paypal forms of paymentC) Not take down the Paypal payment option from the website checkout until the website could indeed actually receive Paypal payments.I can not speak for the in store experience but I would not recommend anyone shop remotely at this business.
