Just had the smoothest matcha latte in the neighborhood at the Kuryu cafe. Can truly taste the matcha, which is wonderful! I’ve had many matcha lattes in the area and they’re usually sugary or lumpy. Price point was comparable as other neighborhood cafes. Will be back!

Love this place. A hidden gem in the neighborhood, and super relaxing to stroll through. Very respectable selection of groceries, gifts, clothes, and art to browse, and the new cafe in here (Kuryu) has by far the best bentos I’ve had outside of Japan. There’s real attention and care going into every single one of them. You may wait 5-10 minutes while they prepare it for you (they make them on the spot in my experience) but its definitely worth it. Besides, you have the rest of J+B to browse while you wait.I especially recommend the Gindara, Pork Katsu, and Yakiniku bentos, and I love the Napolitan Spaghetti that comes on the side.Don’t sleep on this place!
