I bought a watch for several hundred dollars and it wouldn’t run in the store. They told me the battery was dead and I would have to wait a couple of days for the battery to be replaced. I did wait. I came back in a few days and noticed right away that even with a new battery, the second hand wasn’t working. The man in the store couldn’t fix it and he said they would get me another watch from another store. They told me I could pick it up on June 1. June 1 came and went and they didn’t have the watch for me. I was told because they didn’t have ink for their printer, they couldn’t print out a shipping label! Now I am told that the watch will be here in a couple of days by the store and yet UPS says it was not overnighted and it is being shipped by ground and won’t be here for another week! Then I am told by the people in the store that all of these factors are outside of their control. Why would any reputable store carry merchandise in their store that didn’t work in the first place and not even have ink for a printer to make a shipping label? I am so tired of retail establishments thinking they are doing the customer all the favors and everything is outside their control, even though it is the customer who is paying quite a bit of money and is being inconvenienced over and over! I’d give this place zero stars if I could. And they have all kinds of security on the doors to the store. You have to be buzzed in. If they devoted some of that effort being used for security to customer service instead, it would make much more sense. I know things happen and customers can expect to be inconvenienced now and then, but over and over again? That is just plain old bad customer service.
