I never have a bad time at Ithaca Bakery. The staff are great, the food is great, the price is… Well, the price sorta stinks, but I think Ithaca Bakery takes full reign of the ‘You Get What You Pay For’ motto. Yeah, a breakfast sandwich is around $7, but it’s probably going to be one of the best breakfast sandwiches you’ve eaten. I know they’ve certainly been up there for me. Either way, if you’re a local, you know Ithaca Bakery is great, if you’re not, you should.

It is truly a shame that that the only place to get a decent bagel in town can’t seem to get it right. First of all, the bagels themselves are tiny, rarely fresh, and have no flavor besides the odd choices of seasoning/flavoring they add to it. Secondly, their floppy microwaved eggs are often cold, they’re cream cheese portions are ridiculous, and usually by the time you get your sandwich it’s soggy and lukewarm. And they have the nerve to price their sandwiches at Manhattan standards. Luckily the people that work there are very nice, but if you order an everything bagel they will correct you and ask “do you mean a Long Island bagel?” At least they’re nice about it.
