It was definitely something to see it was not finished even though today is Thursday and they said it would be done tomorrow with a fireworks display on Friday evening and again on Sunday evening but it just to me did not look like that was going to happen

I love Saranac Lake Winter Carnival and Ice Palace. This year most of the festival was curtailed because of COVID, but if you’re anywhere in the area, stop for a few minutes and walk around the Ice Palace. It always amazes me how they cut the huge blocks of ice from the lake and cement them together. It was sad it was a closed castle this year, but again because of COVID, understandable. I’m glad they were able to erect an Ice Palace to carry on at least some of the tradition!
