This is a great park to stay. Right in the middle of the forest but with enough amenities to make of your camp trip a blast. From the set up of the camp site, the hiking and bike trails, and to the boat on the lake, everything was great. I rode the 6.2 miles of the Chinquapin, an intermediate level bike trail surrounding the lake. Sights were gorgeous. We sailed the lake in a canoe and had the opportunity to see a couple of alligators. Overall a great experience for the long Memorial weekend. Highly recommended.

Absolutely was super excited to see the baby alligator by the shoreline in the park and it winked at me. The birds were singing all over the park, the energy was pleasant and peaceful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Park overall was kept clean. Prices for renting paddle boats or canue are real reasonable. Nice looking camp sites. Definitely worth coming back to camp.

Our weekend at Huntsville State Park has been relaxing and quiet. It is Memorial Day Weekend and almost all of the sites are full but it is quiet. No loud music, no loud people. Very friendly campers and Park staff. The swimming area is clean and the shower/toilet areas are pretty clean. Very nice weekend.
