The people here were very unprofessional,rude,petty and liars I went to extend my car contract and they take the car I was using saying it was recalled which was a lie I just got maintenance done on it two days earlier and it was reported as in good condition I told them prior to me coming I was working as an Uber they effectively stopped me from making money but they also lied and said they didn’t have a car to give me when there were more than 14 cars on their lot I felt disrespected and discriminated against I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT LOCATION!!! EVER!!! Mostly because I love and value my freedom

I don’t normally write reviews but my experience was terrible and this is called for! It could probably save someones life. Not only was I given a vehicle that is unsafe and should not be on the road, but it was also unclean. The previous renters information, along with their phone, and garbage was found in the car. The alignment on the vehicle was so bad that it nearly threw my family and I off the road putting us in dangers way. This happened more than twice throughout my drive. The vehicle made a sound when ever I took a left bend on the highway (almost like something was wrong with the axle) while pulling to the right making it hard for me to stay in my lane.In addition to this terrible experience, the customer service at the mount vernon location was out of this world. When I got to my drop off location, the representative (Shay) had a very nonchalant attitude. Yesterday, she told me that I would be able to speak to the manager when I dropped off the car (this was via phone call), when I arrived this morning Shay told me that the manager is on vacation and there is absolutely no higher up that I could speak to. I would have to wait until Monday to speak to the manager who is said to be named April.Following this conversation, I called the customer service line to file a complaint and dispute. After waiting for 2 hours on the customer service line, I was finally able to speak to a representative who was helpful and polite. However, she informed me that she could not do much other than remove the extra day fees. I believe that my entire rental should have been discounted or completely refunded, but instead I was offered a gift certIficate for my future rental with Hertz. After the service I received, I have no intention of renting with Hertz in the future. Therefore, this gift certificate is not needed. A refund or discount would have been better appreciated. Unfortunately, because I am not happy with this company’s service, I intend to report Hertz to the Better Business Bureau. Not only are they putting peoples lives in danger by renting unfit vehicles, but the customer service is ridiculous. I would not want any of my friends or loved to put themselves in harms way by renting with this company.If you decide to rent from this company, please do a test run of the vehicle at pick up to ensure your safety. Also be sure to bring a garbage bag to clean it on your own and cleaning products as they have not been cleaning their vehicles during this COVID pandemic.

I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance the day I had to pick up the car, they did not have cars available. it’s a shame for a company to do that to a customer. I called customer service to help me with what was happening and they told me that they could not do anything for me, they could only refunded my deposit. do not do business with this company they are scammers
