I had a 20-year old water softener from Sears that had stopped working. I called Hague Water Systems in Hyde Park and Mike and John arrived (on time!) the next day to install a new one. They were both very friendly, respectful, and easy to work with. The first thing Mike did was a water test. He explained everything he was doing and what the results meant. As they installed the new water softener, Mike identified several problems with the previous installation, and advised me on how to remedy an issue that was a fire hazard. Mike also noticed that air was getting into in my water pump’s lines (probably caused by cracks) and a pressure switch was not functioning properly. He referred me to a well specialist that he deals with a lot, and even put the call in for me. Mike gave me discounts on the price and even filled the new softener with two bags of salt for free. The new water softener works great… I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I found Mike through a Google search and after reading some of the reviews here I decided to call him. He was on the road, but did not hesitate in talking to me and explained me everything I needed to know.I scheduled an appointment and Mike showed up at my house. He reviewed the job and provided me with great insights about the work that needed to be done, as well as the water system I needed. Mike did not try to sell something I did not need which I really appreciated it. The other estimates I had all proposed things I didn’t even need or overpriced water systems. Mike installed my new system around a month ago and I couldn’t be happier with his service. He not only installed my water softener, but also put the drain in since my original plumber did not account for it. The Watermax system works great. It looks nice in the mechanical room and it is easy to switch between service and by-pass. Easy also to look at the salt levels. After a few weeks I don’t see any spots on my dishes and I am happy that I have a great water softener in place (after looking for so many different systems). Overall, I am very happy with Mike’s service, his honesty and great work ethic. I would highly recommend him and the water softener he installs and services it. Thank you Mike!!
