I called Greens about two days prior to coming in and asked the lady who answered the telephone about some prices on dog ear planks. She indicated that they were only one size and that the cost would be $2.86 a plank. I went to Greens this morning to purchase the planks that I needed to complete my fence. I counted that I needed 144 planks for my front fence and about 15 additional to complete the side fence for a total of 161 planks. I told the cashier what I wanted and she indicated to another employee she needed to call someone and ask if there was a limit. SHe called the owners daughter and I was told she would allow me to purchase but 100 planks. Do what? No sign that says there is a limit, she never mentioned it to me on the phone when I called so she just decided that she would :allow me to purchase 100 because she wanted to save the others she had just in case a contractor of hers needed them.. Are you kidding. Is this the way to do business? So my money is not good enough, so you want to save them for a contractor that might or might not need them and I need them. I will never shop there again.

A hardware store needs to be open past noon on a Saturday. It’s one of the only days a lot of people have to do projects at their home but nope. Let’s close it down so you are forced to go to Home Depot and deal with the crowds. Might as well not open at all on the weekend if you can not provide normal working hours.

Friendly customer service. The lumber is always much better quality than Home Depot. I deducted one star because some in store items are a little pricey.
