New to the area and figured we would give this little deli a try. I didn’t expect much, but I wasn’t happy with what I got. I got an Italian sandwhich, and it had decent amount of meat on it, and 2 small spinach leaves, followed by hardest any cheese. The bread (had a onion hoagie roll) had a squirt of Italian salad dressing on it and was dry. My wife ordered the New York nod that was pastrami and swiss, they choose a pretzel roll. What she got was a measley pretzel roll with one slice of pastrami and one slice of swiss hardly any sour kraut and lathered in mustard. Neither of these sandwhiches was worth the $12 for them, $15 if you got the $2 snack size chip. Great liquor store for Downtown, but skip the food.

It looks like just an ordinary liquor store if you pass by, but if that’s what you do, pass by, you’ll have missed downtown’s best sandwich shop. You may note the Boar’s Head logo signifying quality meats are used. That’s just the beginning. The big assortment of freshly baked breads (try the rosemary roll) makes an even bigger difference. The salads are bomb too. All this comes with neighborly customer service, and a wine and premium liquor selection that will delight the most discriminating connoisseurs. So glad I found this place!
