In Zapoteco Gokí means “noble or royal.” This is an indigenous language from Oaxaca, a state in southern Mexico. Arcadia’s recognizable symbol of the peacock is called “Beregokí.” At Gokí Café, we aspire to honor the Mexican identity and tradition, as well as the city that has hosted our family for the past six years.
