I have been working at GMT about 7 plus years. its a great place to work, and they are very generous and help people when needed. BUT I stress, its not charity and in exchange you need to not only show up for work but you need to actually work. When a company gives a total stranger that much money to help them out, only to find out they had more excuses to not show up for work then anything. We never knew when Jerry would show up. A company especially Manufacturing relies on employees to show up for work, if you only work 4 days out of a month , that in itself is a FLAG to any company. Without going into private detail, Jerry both you and your Girlfriend/ wife told me and many others the story of your life. We did not ruin your life, you did, this company went over and beyond to try to help you start a new life, but as we found out, there was no helping you. And as for another employee being terminated, you do not know the facts, nor is it any of your business. How many jobs have you had, how many states have you moved to in the past 2 years? How many have helped you like GMT did, and HOW MANY companies have you wrote bad reviews on, all because you fail to show up for work and expect companies to pay you, even after you left, you asked for money, as did your Girlfriend, and I must say it was asked in the most disgraceful and disgusting way from your Girlfriend. Maybe New York wasn’t the place for you, people in NY have to work to survive, no one is handed money freely. You bashed NY also, expected NY State to take care of you.

I’ve been working in themanufacturing industry 37 years an this is my 3rd company. I’ve been here for 8 years and by far its the best of the 3. They’re very good to their employees. They don’t ask much, just to show up and do your job. They’re very generous an family oriented. I LOVE working here.

I accepted a position with this company three months ago. they talked me into accepting a position with them. I am a CNC machinist and programmer.They paid for the train ticket there and helped me with a room some and I was greatly appreciative. After three months I was told I was doing great and had a permanent position. My wife was spending a lot of time in a motel room and we could not find an affordable place to rent also she became very sick and had to be put in the hospital. I had to take off a few days and be with her and take care of business, etc…They was letting me use a company van that I didn’t realize was illegal and I was pulled over and ticketed. Long story short, I was let go because I had to miss work and got a ticket. They wouldn’t work with me so I could get back to my home state and came in the middle of the night and took the van. we had to leave the motel room and was put out in the street to freeze, my wife was sick . we had to walk down the road in the cold to a homeless shelter and was given help through family crisis for a bus ticket back. Now when we get off the bus, we are traveling now, we will have no money, food ,no place to go. They ruined my life and my wife may die. this company has made a profit by being ruthless. Right before I was let go they did the same thing to another family that was pregnant with twins, right before the baby shower and Christmas. If I was one of there customers I would be aware of who they are and how they operate. This is why they can never meet their delivery times . They are liars and cheaters and I would never get on a plane with any of there components
