This little gem is located on Franklin Avenue with parking in the rear, accessible off 7th Street. The food is always delicious and the staff always welcoming and courteous. The owner, Mike, posts daily specials that include a cup of soup. While my favorite is the Cream of Turkey, my colleagues always order the Split Pea with crunchy croutons. They have fantastic breakfast choices. The pancakes are fluffy, and the sausage is flavorful. Their egg dishes come with toast, potatoes and bacon or sausage. You won’t regret starting your day here. But as Mike is Greek and his Dad cooks here, they have the best Gyro around. The lamb is just as it should be and topped with chopped tomato, lettuce, red onion and lots of tzatziki sauce. Another favorite is their Grilled Chicken Greek Salad. This is just amazing. The chicken is grilled but juicy. It sits upon a fresh bed of greens and topped with lots of creamy feta cheese. Their Greek dressing is the star. Yummy. Their Spanikopita is delicious and crispy. And they also offer a Greek side salad with these dishes so you can enjoy an authentic Greek meal. During special occasions, Mike’s Mom bakes Greek cookies and pastries and brings these into everyobe’s delight. Indeed, a big treat for all who are tempted. They also make a great Turkey Club as well as burgers and many other luncheon items. I have also arranged for early group breakfasts here for about 35 people. Mike and his staff have always done a fantastic job of feeding and serving our group well. This is just a great Coffee Shop, and the coffee is so good; I always start to move extra large in a to-go cup!
