Very quaint little shop with both packaged snacks and a huge variety of fresh, homemade mochi. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the selection is gorgeous. We’ve tried a few flavours so far and been happy with everything- fantastic texture and taste. It’s an easy to miss spot if you don’t know it’s there, but well worth the stop.

I love this authentic Japanese bakery in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. It has been there over 100 years and has hardly changed over the years. I have been going there since 1960 when I was a little girl and still stop in there every few years as a grandmother. Their mochi or what my family calls rice cakes are fresh, sweet and delicious. They are made with just a few simple ingredients like sweet rice and soybeans. Once you try them, I’m sure you’ll go back again and again.
