Food King Texas City is a family owned neighborhood grocery store that has been in business for 50 years. We offer the freshest meat and quality produce at low prices. Our bakery prepares fresh baked bread and fresh doughnuts daily. We have a deli, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner items, which features an in-store smoker and rotisserie. In addition to a large selection of grocery items, we also sell fishing supplies, general merchandise, and other household goods. We strive to provide exceptional customer service, and offer Senior Citizens aged 60 or older a 5% discount every Wednesday.

I buy meats there, A little further to drive, but wouldn’t go anywhere else. The store’s always clean, the associates are very nice. The other thing that really needs mentioning is the front end. The checkers, sackers are very professional, respectful, and helpful. I would have given the store 5 stars but it seems management needs to stand back, watch what they’ve taught, don’t lose sight of being a mentor, and get back to what you taught your employees. There isn’t one time that a manager acknowledged me or said hello. Not one time.

I’ve been buying from the Texas City location for year’s. However I need to let people know how wonderful their inhouse bread is. Recently I was unable to get good hoagie and french bread from H.E B. So I went to my old stand by and there it was. NOT only fresh but better than anything I had bought before. Please pass this art down to the next baker. We are so happy. Thank you guy’s
