Fresh, made from scratch home cooking. Theres gourmet takeout , a deli with a daily special , and catering. The location in AtHens State University’s Sandridge Student Center is not the address 300 N. Beatty St. Thats Founders Hall. Put Sandridge Student Center in your Google Maps for the correct building. Parking and handicapped accessible. Theres also a patio under the school chimes. Try the Crm. Cheese lasagna if its the special. I usually get a portion to go if possible.

Edited rating from 4 stars to 5 STARS!I recently went back to Food Fite for another pre-class meal. True to their word, they made changes to the portion size and to the way they package the food! I got the chicken tenders and fries, and the portion was more than I could eat in one sitting. Still yummy too!———————–Nice, attentive, and helpful staff! Good place for $5 quick bite to eat before going to class. My classes are in the evening at Athens, going from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. I enjoy buying from their $5 menu because it’s convenient, the food comes out fast, and I can be on my way to class. One criticism is I wish they would increase the portion on two of their $5 items, the chicken sandwich and the chicken tenders. The chicken sandwich is tiny, only the size of a small dinner roll! I would hardly call that a sandwich. The chicken tenders are really yummy, but it only comes with two small pieces. The other items I’ve tried on the $5 menu (burger, hotdog, and fried catfish) are good, and the portion is good too.Another criticism is they need to use less packaging in their to-go boxes. There’s no need to use 3 separate wax liners and a separate styrofoam cup for my items, the box itself is separated into sections already. This extra packaging creates more waste than necessary, and they can probably save a little bit of money by cutting down on it.I haven’t tried any of their take-home, refrigerated meals, but it looks like there is a good amount of food for the price. All of the staff I’ve talked to have been really nice. There are always vases of fresh flowers sitting out on the tables. I appreciate that little attention to detail.I hope to see more students and the public find this place, it’s a little gem for sure!

Great food and service! The in house menu has something for everybody, plus the to-go casseroles are a huge plus! The catering is also a WIN! If you have never experienced Food Fites catering menu, I highly recommend them for your next event.
