I love this place. I remember the first time I got waxed at European wax center & I was surprised that it didn’t hurt, the normal amount. I was told it was thewax formula they use & I’ve never gone anywhere since. I used to go to the San Rafael location but like others, it didn’t withstand COVID. When salons opened again I called San Francisco first & was put on hold by an automated message. I hung up & called El Cerrito where they picked up before the second ring & I was asked if I was available that afternoon. I was expecting a huge wait!! I went in & it was great as usual. Actually, probably the best wax I had ever had. They even attempted to fulfill a special request! So great!!

I had schedule an appointment for 9:45 am. There was an accident on the freeway causing me to be late. I called them, told them I was going to be late because there was traffic. The lady I spoke to told me that it was okay she knew there was an accident on the freeway. Once I arrive she told me my appointment had been canceled because it was over the 9 minute mark. Then told me there wasn’t another appointment avaiable until 2:30pm. I just drove 35 minutes for no reason while 9 months pregnant. No one told me if I was 9 minutes late my appointment would be canceled. Very unprofessional.
