I was looking to replace a small inexpensive and unlikely item to be found in stock … the crank magnet for my bike’s computer. I am not from Monterey, and normally don’t shop here. Despite that they went out of their way to search for the item, which they had one of, and sent me out the door a very happy camper!! This just goes to show how much they care about cyclists and keeping customers, even potentially one-off customers, happy, serviced, and on the road! They made a friend, and I will shop here again!

The folks at Epicenter Cycling made sure that all of my bike-related needs were met with haste and a smile. An employee/representative with the name Kramer, I believe, gave me very relevant information about the products I was looking for, as well as advice pertaining to which bicycle and accessories would best suit my lifestyle. Overall a great experience that made the hole in my pocket a little less sore. And as far as the bike that I purchased, (being a Trek Verve 2), it is an excellent machine that is proficient in all caveats of riding. Right after the purchase, a few buddies and I set off on the coastline of Monterey, cutting through Cannery Row, and down near Spanish Bay. Through this excursion, we traveled from tight urban alleys and side streets seamlessly onto gravely, sandy trails and then back onto asphalt, winding up and down the coastal roads that outlined Asilomar State Beach. The gears were smooth and the handling, even more so. It was my first time riding a bicycle in nearly a decade, but the simple, yet versatile design of the Verve 2 made the experience of essentially relearning riding painless. A big thank you to the hardworking professionals at Epicenter Cycling for providing myself with not only an exciting new hobby, but an efficient mode of transportation.
