This place looks amazing, the food and the service not so much! I order chicken fajitas and they were not that great, I order chicken tortilla soup and it tasted like a can soup, no tortilla or other condiments with this, no flavor tasted like the inside of a pot pie, the hard shell beef taco was ok. Sadly the service hurt this rating, had me waiting, the waiter wasn’t there, one of the hosts was a bit rude. At the end I try to support local small businesses but this wasn’t a good experience.

I was so impressed with the service here, their customer service is top notch. We enjoyed their supreme nachos, kids got tenders, a two taco plate with a side of beans and rice, and a combo taco enchilada plate. Great serving sizes and good food, we also enjoyed their complimentary chips and salsa. We will return next time we are in the area. Support this local business!

For a vegetarian looking for amazing made from scratch Latin American cuisine, look no farther than El Chorlito in San Simeon.In addition to being in the shadow of Hearst Castle, this quaint little Mexican restaurant is alive with bright colorful dining areas, a breathtaking patio literally steps away from the Pacific Ocean and pleasant gardens alive with birds and plants that would rival any botanical gardens.Not to mention the food. Out of this world. They make a mole sauce (pronounced mole ay) from scratch that has a hint of heat, a hint of cinnamon and mild spices combined with dark Mexican chocolate that compliments any food it is served with……even Tofu. Speaking of tofu, they can make any of their main dishes using tofu and they are all delicious.We are repeat customers and will keep coming back again and again.
