I was in the DSW store in Lubbock, Texas today shopping for shoes for my daughter’s wedding. There was a party of 5 of us and 3 out of the 5 of us were shopping for wedding shoes. During the time we were in there, I asked if there was a restroom available for customers and was told that yes they had restrooms but they were closed due to Covid. The salesperson then proceeded to tell me to go next door to Kirkland’s to use the restroom. I’m sorry but I wasn’t shopping in Kirkland’s and did not feel that was appropriate!! I very promptly put my $60 pair of shoes back on the shelf and left the store without purchasing anything. The other 2 people who were shopping with me, also returned their items and did not purchase anything at this store. If you are going to invite people in to shop and spend money at your store, you need to accommodate them while they are shopping. I have always shopped at DSW and been very pleased with the products and customer service that I have received. I felt that this incident was completely unacceptable. I have now purchased the exact same shoes that I was going to buy from DSW, from another vendor. The other 2 people in our group who were shopping for shoes also made purchases from other shoe stores.
