Love charming downtown Ojai. Covered sidewalk makes hot day strolls a breeze, literally. Cute dress shops that are one of a kind. Ojai city has an ordinance that prohibits chain stores. So that means no fast food restaurants either. Many of the shop owners are local residents. That adds to the small town feel. That said, prices are a bit higher. The main street driving into town from Ventura, has Libbey park to the right (post office and some shops and restaurants), and shops and restaurants on the left. Street parking is challenging and near impossible on weekends (hotel guests, please consider renting a bike to get around. Ojai is largely flat and biking is fun). Though behind the shops on the left are more shops and a small (well loved and curated) grocery store; with small parking lots and more street parking. There are also some nice retailers on surrounding streets to explore (making that bike idea really handy).
