Why would anyone would go to an Apple store when there’s Dr. Mac!? OMG what a gem! I was in a bind with a fried laptop. My entire business goes down without my laptop.Online and by phone to the Apple store got me bupkis. I called Dr. Mac. They had the replacement Macbook Air I needed in stock. Same price as the Apple store. I took it home, and by phone James guided me through the process of transferring data onto the new machine. And I was back up and running.This is why we SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS! These guys are in the neighborhood (Irvington), convenient, accessible, free parking, hands-on, helpful, friendly, and expert in everything Mac.As for the store itself, it’s beautifully simple. Obviously in covidworld it’s reconfigured for everyone’s safety. But displays are nice. They carry the RIGHT accessories, not an explosion of junk you don’t need. It’s everything Apple except the crowds and hit-or-miss experts.In a lightning fast digital age, apple stores move like the post office. And I’d love to get my hands on the genius who came up with genius bar.
