Excellent!! There are brochures and maps of Kodiak Island along with a small gift shop that showcases local artists and photographers. The staff will guide you exactly where you want to go. You will learn about daily fishing, wildlife and hiking/adventure excursions. If you are looking for reccomendations on where to stay, what to eat or just learn more about The Island of the Great Bear this is the place!!

Don’t be like me and visit the Discover Kodiak visitor center last, that’s my best advice! Kind people, cool suggestions, and some impressive photos of the Kodiak wildlife also discovered. And to be noted, I found the official visitors guide to Kodiak here and it shines a bit light on the history….well I’ll let you discover! Enjoy Kodiak! Coho, Chum, Pink, Red 4/6, King, Pink 1, Pink 3, Pale 2/4 …..Freezer…. love you Alaska!
