CVS is too problematic. Their computer keeps contacting doctors when refills have run out when a patient has instructed them NOT to contact the doctor. I phoned to say do not contact the MD, and they did it anyway, and I get tired of the excuse that someone did not read the notes and the computer sent the request. It is pathetic. They have contacted doctors and nurses with whom I no longer see, and they do it all against my instructions. It causes unnecessary friction with a doctor’s office. In one week they sent me text messages three times for the same two prescriptions I had declined, the doctor caved in and filled and I picked up on 7/28; yet they have contacted me twice since for the same prescriptions I had already gotten. I called for the store manager and insisted he speak with me for him to talk with his main pharmacist. As long as they have a phone number in their system, the faxes will go to the doctor. Deleting a phone number only eliminates texts from them to me..Again I am going to have to write the CEO. I had used Walgreens for years without any problems, but prescription prices kept going up and my insurance told me CVS was the preferred pharmacy for better prices, so I changed. It has been a mess. Because CVS bought Aetna, I could not stop them from contacting me during open enrollment to change to them. No way. The word ‘no’ means nothing to these groups, and it is irritating. I am also contacting my insurance to see if there is any other mom and pop group I can use to avoid all the problems they present. Their IT department has to do better. Walgreens had been terrific with zero problems other than prices going up, and I track all prices for prescriptions, doctor, specialists and hospital visits in Excel.Interesting how when Walgreens transferred my prescriptions to CVS, CVS just used a contact number for me they had dating back to the days when we all had pagers (PageNet). Everyone knows how long ago that was when they were Savon. I haven’t had that pager for years. Crazy mistakes drives me nuts when people do not read — something called proofreading one’s work.

Just stopped for cold water on a hot day. Kind of expensive.
