I really hate that I have to do this because I am ALL about small businesses. I have been with my now husband for over 10years. The year that we decide to get married everything shuts down. My husband stopped working from March till about June. Our wedding was scheduled for May. We had to move everything. We tried to move it to Sept and we had to move it again because of the Pandemic. Nothing to do with us but something that we had no control over. We did try and get our money back since everyone else (venue, food, security) were willing to return the money without a problem. But of course Cute Cakes was not. wait let me take that back they were but they were going to keep about 60% of the cake money which was $650. I was going to get back about $250 because of Cute Cakes we moved the reception to May of this year 2021. Again not because of us but because of the State and the World Pandemic. This year didn’t happen for us in either. We decided to do what everyone else is doing and just do a drive-by wedding. With that in mind a cake is just not something that is feasible to use so I was looking at their website and they also do desserts. I thought I would be able to do the desserts instead and use them in the wedding drive-by but of course with Cute Cakes there was a problem. I called them spoke to Sara and apparently I have to pay another $85 to change my order from a cake to a dessert. I asked her why if my cake is not until May she said that because they are going to have to consult with me (which never happened no tasting nothing just emails back and forth of flavors) in regards to the dessert package that I would want. When speaking with Sara there was no compassion no empathy at all. She also told me that they have already worked with me since they have had to change my order a couple of times already and were kind enough to not charge me. ( due to the pandemic ). I am sorry that the pandemic has impacted your business I truly am but you are not the only ones that have been impacted. So honestly I am in a crossroads. The package of desserts that I wanted was $685 I believe on the website and I thought I would just be able to use the $650 towards that and pay the difference turns out that I had to pay the difference from the $650 and the $685 or so plus the $85 that they would deduct from my credit for the administration fee to change my order. I ended up having to pay it because it was either that or loosing more than half the $650 that i started out with.

Perfect and delicious wedding cake provided by Cute Cakes! The tasting and ordering process was easy and fun. Each and every person we talked to through to process was kind and helpful! They even have some cake-stands you can rent and an option to add miniature deserts. Our cake was brought from their bakery in Escondido to our venue in De Luz (about 45-60 min with windy roads) with no problem! I provided a picture of what we’d like the cake to look like and it was replicated beautifully. You have the option to let a Cute Cakes employee place your flowers, or your florist you may do as well. Great experience- we’ll definitely visit and/or use Cute Cakes again!

We can’t say enough great things about our experience with Cute Cakes. My sister and I called from NY to have baked goods delivered in San Diego. From the minute we spoke with Carrie until day of delivery, we were treated so well. Carrie not only fulfilled our order. She far exceeded our expectations. She kept in touch with us all the way. She sent pictures of the beautiful tray of goodies, sent us tracking for the delivery, etc. Whenever we have the opportunity to do business with Cute Cakes again we won’t hesitate.
