Efficient service, friendly staff, and an excellent haircut.

As always, they go beyond the price of the haircuts they give.

Waited for an hour because two people were ahead of me.

I have been coming to Crown Barbershop for years now. Always feel welcomed, and like I am visiting with friends. Over the years, i have gotten to know the team there. Everyone from Misty, Mayra, Rosie, Alex, Dan, Steve, and Zach, have all been exceptional, friendly, personable barbers, that make you feel at ease, and welcomed, the moment you walk in. They do quality work, and you’ll always leave feeling better than before you walked in. Lately Zach has been my go to, as i go in primarily for a beard trim and shave. Zach has a talent with that knife, as in you barely even feel it. Talented hands, easy to talk to, and very efficient. Crown Barbershop is a jewel in Coronado. Do yourself a favor and drop in.

Just got my haircut at Crown about an hour ago. Great atmosphere. My barber [Rose?] was great, very kind and definitely listened to me. So if I hadn’t come home to the screwed up mustache, as seen in the picture, the rating would definitely have a 4—strictly due to the price. I blame it on myself for not noticing at the barber shop when she handed me the mirror but I was looking more at the haircut itself.I chose the barbershop because they had better ratings and the other reviews said they did a military discount—what I didn’t realize is the discount is for active duty only.I am a retired Marine mostly living as a nomad and spent the last 9 months in my RV all over the US. Admittedly not ever in a big city where prices are no doubt much more expensive. I get my haircut every 2-3 weeks and always look for a local barbershop with good ratings. I always get both the hair and beard cut/trimmed.The most expensive cut I had was in Memphis and Vermont for $18. Most of the east coast all the way up to Maine was $15 for both hair and beard.I spent three months in South Padre Island TX which, like Coronado, is also a beach and tourist town—I was always charged $12 and gave a $20 to include the tip. I just left Eloy AZ after a month there, it’s just north of Tucson—same cost, $12, $20 with tip.I spent $40 today and that’s the reason for the intended 4 rating. I have absolutely no doubt the bad moustache trim is an aberration and would try again if not for the price. $25 for the haircut and $8 for the beard trim in my mind is too much. [I always give a good tip and always will as I recognize how blessed I am to have a cost of living adjusted retirement.]Bottomline is I’m going to spend a lot of time here in Coronado as that is where the girlfriend is. While I love that Crown is within walking distance there is no way I’m spending $40 every two-three weeks—guess I’ll be driving to a nearby base.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value My boys and I have Zach cut our hair every time we visit Coronado. He is the best barber anywhere. We give him the highest rating!!!
