One of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to (I’m kind of a museum person). A great way to spend the day (or even two days, since we had to rush to get it all in in one day). The demonstrations are short and sweet. The interactive make your own glass is not really very interactive, but might be nice for kids. The artwork (quality and quantity) of glass on display is incredible. They literally have glass artwork from ancient times through modern. Highly recommend

We loved the Corning Museum of Glass! It was so well laid out. The exhibits were fascinating. Our whole family including children aged 6, 10, and 14 enjoyed it. The Glass blowing exhibit was wonderful to watch. We also booked a glass fusing project for the whole family to do and we all enjoyed it. The Cafe had a huge selection of food to choose from. The gift shop was just amazing with so many deals!!!

I don’t enjoy museums, but I did enjoy the Corning museum of glass. I don’t know how to describe it, but everything was very meticulously placed so that you could go through each part of the museum methodically and not waste too much time. However, if you want to spend hours upon hours studying each piece then you can certainly do that too. The content was very thorough with troves of pieces from early history throughout the world (interested how they got some of the pieces) to content about the industrialization of glass and fiber optics.
