Pitch your tent on the desk and camp on a ferry as it makes its way up the Inside Passage. Bring flipflops for the locker room showers, ear plugs, binoculars and patience. This is a cheap way to experience cruising, stripped to the bone. In a good way. Put this on the bucket list –

Wish I could give it 10 stars. This is the best way to travel to see the inside passage. We went from Bellingham, Washington to Juneau, Alaska. What a beautiful trip. Our room was clean; very comfortable….best bed ever! Large window to look outside. The scenery was unbelievable. We saw whales, dolphins, bears, eagles…..just a fabulous trip. I would recommend it to everyone. The food in the cafeteria was good; and although we didn’t eat in the fancier restaurant the menu looked good. We met some very interesting people from around the world. Very relaxed atmosphere. We also took the ferry from Juneau to Haines. Same experience….very comfortable, clean, and beautiful scenery.
