Stopped by here during a visit to Saratoga Springs and left with 3 skeins of beautiful yarn.The store is super nice and spacious. They have a great selection of hand dyed to local dyers to budget brands with different fibers. I bought two skeins of self striping yarn from Urth yarns and a skein of hand dyed sock yarn at an introductory price.The store owner was very nice and helpful and she even taught me a few knitting tricks while I was browsing. The store has ample samples so you can see how the yarn will knit and drape.I love visiting local yarn stores during my travels and this one did not disappoint at all. The owner also shared some recommendations for food and drinks for our stay. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit Saratoga Springs.Also ps. for female shoppers with bored husbands. There is a beef jerky store next door, send them there and you can browse freely for an hour undisturbed

I planned a trip through Saratoga to allow a visit at Common Thread. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and confident with the appropriate covid precautions. Usually I need something specific, but I just wanted to look and think. Plenty of check ins in between a steady pace of other customers. I left with only a small bag this time, but ideas for future projects and solutions to more than I had expected. Very helpful.
