I love the quality and design of Cole Haan shoes and their online customer service. But the in-store experience at Carlsbad outlet mall location is very disappointing.I purchased 3 pairs of Oxford shoes during Thanksgiving, but they are running smaller than normal ones. I have the options to return in store and via mail. I called this location, and the store manager confirmed that I can return online orders there. After 45 minutes’ drive and another 30 minutes’ waiting in line, the store manager told me that I cannot return them since they are currently on clearance. I explained to her that when I purchased them, they were not on clearance nor were they marked as final sale with no exchange or return. With a terrible attitude, she refused to even try to look up my order, and also said she rather not spending her time at work. I was going to purchase another 3 pairs of shoes in bigger sizes. Instead, I made no new purchases. Unsurprisingly, I was able to successfully submit an online return request via mail within 2 minutes after I walked out the store. She was obviously wrong about the return policy, as the ‘store manager’. Not only did she waste my time, she also ruined the brand’s image. This explains perfectly why more and more brands are moving to online stores only.

Quality shoes, great prices, how can you go wrong. We go there once a month looking for their new deals, the problem we have is our closet seems to be getting smaller with the shoes we’ve been purchasing. Love the shoes.
