I made a visit to the outlet today in Carlsbad. Had a great lunch and went to do some shopping with my friend. Went into Chico’s. There were only a few customers and a few sales people. I liked a few items and was getting help from the girls that worked there. I picked one item that I was going to purchase and handed it to one of the girls. I started looking at more items and trying to find my size. Suddenly I hear the manager telling the girl that was helping me to stop waiting on me and take care of other customers. I was blown away, the girls tried to tell me that she was not talking about me but I knew. I went up to her and said this is a store and I am shopping how can you speak in this manner. The manager told me that they can only spend a certain amount of time and that is when I stopped her and said I have to find my size that is how you do shopping. I had only been in there for ten minutes. One of the girls kept apologizing but I was done. I started walking out and the manager was just standing there so I said you are a very nasty lady. I was so shocked by what happened. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I told her that I will make sure to write a review and she said I bit you do. Her answer told me that she has done this before. She was the manager of the store. I felt sorry for her because she was just a angry and mean person. I am sure when she heard me speaking with an accent that didn’t help either. I have been in US for the past 40 years and I have never been treated like this.Why would Chico’s hire people that have such a poor customer service. Retail is public relation and I can assure you that this place didn’t know the meaning of taking care of customers.
