Found an old gift card from several years back. I figured I should bring it in and at least see if perhaps there was anything at all on it.The employee knew immediately to go to a binder beside the registers and was able to look up the card details right there on paper since they had switched to a new system and no longer had access to the old info!She was fully trained on how to transfer those funds to a new card so I could use it right there on my purchase. The whole process took maybe 2 minutes. I was truly impressed and she was so friendly!I know that if this kind of scenario had happened at some corporate retailer like Safeway or Target (etc.) the cashier would have probably had to call for a manager and it would have held up the line.I’m so happy to be able to be an owner/community supporter of this awesome resource. She even walked me step-by-step through a change of address form for my ownership account.PS – Another employee was able to notice me having a rough tone searching for something after barely 10 seconds and offered to help.PPS – They sell Cali-made Peanut M&Ms made by SunRidge Farms (out of Royal Oaks, CA)…called Milk Chocolate Peanut Rainbow Drops.. I wanted to thank the Sunday morning staff for being so patient and KIND with me. They went above and beyond their job descriptions. I had not shopped at the co-op since March.
