I am an Ontario Mills mall employee, I understand that unfortunately people steal and I understand you feel obligated to protect your store however, today i experienced something that made me extremely uncomfortable in this store. I am an African American woman and from the minute I walked into the store all eyes were on me. No matter where I was in the store there was someone behind me. I walked to the front of the store simply to find smaller sizes for my daughter and was asked 3 times by 3 different people if I wanted a bag for my stuff literally with in 3 minutes. At this point I no longer wanted to continue shopping and didn’t even want to buy the items I had in my hand, I did because if I hadn’t i would’ve been accused of attempting to steal. I have never in my life stolen anything and this was the first time I have even been followed through the store the entire time I was in there. I will not be returning to this carters and I advice my fellow African American Mother’s to do the same!!
