We were having a kitchen floor installed in my father-in-laws house. My sister-in-law, who doesn’t disclose all transactions to us placed the order. (So the timeline with the order may have been her doing) The order was placed around May which included removing the floor, which was done at the time of the order. They did not schedule an installation until October.Today was installation day. The installer showed up not wearing a mask. When I inquired of it he said he doesn’t wear masks because of the inconvenience. My father-in-law is 91years old. I explained to the installer that my in-law was a high risk category and according to state law it was required to wear a mask.He said he wouldn’t and drove off.I contacted Amy at Carpet One to resolve the dilemma. She first indicated that by law the installers didn’t wear masks. She then said she would talk to the management staff and call me back. Upon calling me back she said that now they won’t do the job and refunded our money. Throughout our interaction she was Politely rude. It’s hard to believe that a company that claims to be “Community Focused” doesn’t care about the health of their clients. I guess that’s why there are 2774 new cases in Shasta county today. It’s also hard to believe that they would give up this job (I know not a bank breaker) over the request that a $2.00-10.00 mask be worn for the clients protection.Poor customer relations

I lost my home in the Camp fire last year and lost everything I collected over 80 years. I was lucky enough to have insurance and was able to purchase a new home in Redding. My son who has never remodled a home before turned to Carpet one for thier guidance and expertise to put new floors throughout my new home. Even after my son explainded that we were remodleing the kitchen to include new cabinets and counter tops Carpet One did not advise against putting the kitchen floor until the new cabinets were installed. They not only installed the new flooring but they also installed 3 molding on the cabinets that were being removed. At the time my son said Robyn would have the flooring fixed. Now that the cabinets have been installed I had to buy more material with the little money I have left and Robyn is now asking me to pay for their mistake. I just don’t have anymore money to keep giving this company and my floor is now falling appart. I do not know what I’m going to do. This was supposed to be a life time warrenty becasue we used Carpet One for the material and intallation and now they want more money. Maybe someone from Carpet One can explain why they did not give any advise when that is what they were hired to do.
