The Butcher Shop first opened it’s doors back in 1983 and has been family owned and operated ever since! Though our menu has grown since then, we still prepare everything the same way now as we did back then! From our made from scratch bakery items, our daily ground beef, hand cut fries, all the way down to our fried chicken breading. If you get up early enough you can smell our fresh baked bread being cooked and maybe even run into some of our daily regular coffee drinkers that have been coming in for years! We are a staple of the greater East Texas community and take pride in serving the best American comfort food around.
Quaint restaurant, bakery & market offering breakfast fare, custom cakes & deli meats.

We had a lovely experience. We went for lunch and ordered a turkey sandwich which we shared and we were charged a ($2 split fee). Oh well. The staff were all very courteous and polite, especially the (GM) whose name I don’t remember. The food was good and there is good parking. We will be returning.

My new husband and I ordered our wedding cakes from here! They were absolutely horrible! The bridal cake was supposed to be a coffin, it looked like a sand castle, the anniversary cake looked like my 4 year old sculpted it with kinetic sand, and the grooms cake was supposed to be a circle carved into the willie G skull. Well the bridal cake was uneven, barely coffin shaped, and the delivery guy put his hand in the side of it and didn’t even care. Not to mention they didn’t even have them started until after 1130 when I called to check on them. The anniversary cake was supposed to be a mini coffin, it looked like a pile of kinetic sand, uneven. The grooms cake omg they did a sheet cake it looked like a birthday cake. It was supposed to be round and carved into the Harley Davidson willie G skull. Nope, it wasn’t they printed the willie g skull on edible paper and well the backing wasn’t even taken off foe the paper to be edible so we bit into paper! I have tried calling since our wedding day May 21 2021,and they never answer the phone! I want my money back! I will never step foot in here to eat again and will never ever recommend a cake being made here! The delivery guy was rude and messed my cake up. The groom cake and anniversary cake was supposed to be sugar free due to diabetes in the family well they weren’t sugar free!
